What are these tiny holes on my coffee bag?

Holes on your coffee bag explained

You've probable spotted 3 tiny holes on the front of our Dark Roast coffee beans packaging and wondered what is?

"Is it to smell coffee? Is it let breathe?"

Well, there's a bit of this :)

When green coffee beans are roasted, they release some carbon dioxide during the process and they continue to release some gas when beans are packaged.

These 3 holes are part of a one-way valve mechanism that releases the excess of carbon dioxide and prevents the bag from accumulating excess gas.

Therefore, whenever you spot a bag with this valve, it is a sign that your coffee is being kept in a condition that allows the beans to remain fresh longer.
